    What You Need to Know About Amazon's Brand Referral Bonus Program

    The program is designed to give US Seller Brand Owners the opportunity to earn a bonus for product sales driven by non-Amazon marketing efforts that are measured by Amazon Attribution. Only brand owners enrolled in Brand Registry are eligible to participate. If you sell on Amazon but have not registered your brand yet, you can enroll your brand in Amazon Brand Registry here.

    US Seller Brand Owners can earn a bonus averaging 10% of product sales which will be credited toward their referral fees on a monthly basis. The more referral traffic you bring, the more opportunities you have to earn a bonus. Actual bonus rates depend on the category for each product and may vary slightly based on inputs such as additional shipping and gift wrapping charges.

    The bonus is provided as a credit on your referral fees. There is a wait time of 2 months before the bonus is credited to your account to accommodate order cancellation and customer returns.

    How to Participate in Amazon’s Brand Referral Bonus program

    To participate in Brand Referral Bonus you must also be enrolled in Amazon Attribution. Amazon Attribution is an advertising and analytics measurement solution that gives marketers insight into how their non-Amazon marketing channels across search, social, video, display, and email impact shopping activity and sales performance on Amazon. The Brand Referral Bonus Program uses Amazon Attribution to measure marketing efforts. If you are not already enrolled, register for Amazon Attribution here

    After registering for both Amazon Attribution and Brand Referral Bonus, set up Amazon Attribution measurement across your non-Amazon marketing campaigns. Visit the Amazon Attribution help center for step-by-step instructions for setup. Create tags through Amazon Attribution that will track your performance and your bonus. All traffic for promoted products must have an Amazon Attribution tag in order to qualify for the bonus. After creating tags, you can then launch your advertising effort and start driving external traffic. As your external marketing efforts start to drive sales, you can check and monitor your bonus amount on the Transaction Details page of your seller account. Keep in mind that there is a 2 month wait time before you will see the bonus credited to your account.
